When property owners have a concern regarding their appraisal or classification and do not agree with the Assessor’s value, they should request an Informal Review.  An Informal Review is an opportunity for the property owner and the Assessor to review the details of a property for accuracy, and to correct any errors. If a property owner is not satisfied with the results of the Review, the next step in the appeal process is to go before the Sequatchie County Board of Equalization. This is the first step in the formal appeal process.
